Parent's Night is a special time at Camp Conestoga. Families are invited to join the troop for a pot luck dinner and then stay on for the Parade of Flags, Order of the Arrow Callout Ceremony and a campfire. The camp also makes available the Zip-Line for those of a more adventurous spirit.
5:00 pm - Final Summit Ends - Scouts return to the campsite.
5:00 pm to 6:45 pm - Pot luck dinner in our site
5:30 pm to 6:55 pm - Open Zip Line
7:05 pm - Troops assemble in upper parade field with their flags.
7:10 pm - Parents and visitors will gather at the lower lake-side parade field
7:15 pm - The celebration will begin with the troops assembled on the lower parade field to complete evening colors.
7:20 (Approx.) - The ceremony is turned over to Order of the Arrow who will continue with the Call-Out Ceremony.
8:00 (Approx.) - Immediately following the Call Out Ceremony, Troops will partake in Wednesday night campfire
9:30 pm - Trading Post extended hours end
Troop 480 typically provides the main course (items such as fried chicken, pasta, meatballs, along with drinks). Atteding families are asked to bring side dishes: vegtables, salads, deserts. Watch for more information as the event gets closer.
• Participants must be at least 14 years old • Must have a signed and completed waiver. If under 18, the waiver must also be signed by participant’s parent or guardian. • Purchase tickets at the COPE Tower ($5.00).
Please park in designated lots. You may be able to park near the hill shower house, weather permitting. Do Not attempt to park in the Catawba camp site.
